Session Comments:
  • Speakers seemed to meander too much. Thought there'd be more focus on new transportation bill.
  • Especially liked our self-introductions
  • More inspirational in nature than useful.
  • Connecting the dots from local organization to national is key.

Session Comments:
  • Excellent slides. It would be nice to organize images by either concepts (examples of bike blvds, roundabouts, road diets, etc.) and/or group them by city.
  • Too many interruptions from the audience.
  • Ryan's knowledge was wide and thorough. He's interesting and an excellent speaker. We are lucky to have him improving the bike world.
  • Ryan is fantastic!
  • Alternative and new idea in traffic control, cyclist/auto avoidance, etc.
  • Pretty one-way/lecture-oriented, little info about cost, which is important.
  • Good, specific and clearly presented ideas. Realistic assessment of challenges, particularly to implementing bike lanes.
  • Learned a lot- will put information to use in future. Took 6 pages of notes!

Session Comments:
  • I’d like to see "bike parking space" at LATTC, Public Park in Central and South Central LA open late at night, more light, police collaboration (no tickets for community).
  • Provide (1) Workshops for parents and children; (2) Lights for bikes (cheap or free); (3) Helmets; (4) bikes; (5) more bike routes to this college; (6) Cost/benefit analysis.
  • The title of the workshop was misleading- I thought it would be about riding safety-I did not know it was about Citylights group. Projector did not work.
  • Dealing with similar challenges and opportunities on Westside, which has its own "inner cities"
  • Please more!

  • Love LACBC! Great presentation and motivational on getting me to want to do something more in my community with their lessons of what they've done.
  • Well-organized, good examples, good Q & A.
  • Really solid, useful info.
  • Just wanted a bit more detail on how to make it work. How to cooperate or how to convince public attitudes and perceptions.

Session Comments:
  • Needed more time than 1 hour.
  • First speaker was hard to understand and irrelevant. Better questions would help moderate.
  • The first speaker sounded like she was presenting her PhD thesis. Wish there was more time for discussion as I've been waiting 25 minutes for the next class that still hasn't started.
  • There was enough brainpower on the panel to make it a 90 or 120-minute workshop.
  • More interesting moderation
  • I sure wish there was more useful research to use to justify more spending on bike facilities.
  • How can volunteers help with data collection/organization?
  • OMG! Like a bad sociology class! 37 minutes of "Intro"!
  • Wanted more interaction from panelists.

  • Great, gave me ideas to bring back to bike collective and bike community in Milwaukee.
  • IMHO-People should not bring toddlers to stuff like this. There is a googling baby running around. I left and am going home. I hope they enjoy.

Session Comments:
  • Great speaker with a lot of information and humor.
  • Gave way of comprehending past = need to go back to complete streets. Funny presentation.
  • Erik was not prepared. It's now 2:25 and he still isn't ready. He has a very different approach to his lecture but it was extremely interesting and insightful. He made up for being late.
  • Entertaining speaker, but he never seemed to get past his intro. Was expecting more nuts and bolts about creating complete streets.
  • Very funny...my most engaging (workshop)
  • Erik is a master presenter --- what a performer! Who knew??!
  • Entertaining advocacy piece, but somewhat preaching to the converted. I had hoped it would focus more on workable solutions.
  • A great perspective and an entertaining speaker.
  • Eric rocks!
  • Eric Knutzen is a hoot.
